Taking MS and PhD students at KAIST’s School of Business and Technology Management. If you want to use data and formal methods to answer hard questions about science and innovation, read on.
01Who I’m looking for
The fit
Four conditions, all required:
- Genuine interest in quantitative studies on science, technology, and innovation
- Comfortable processing data with programming (Python, R, or Stata)
- Working knowledge of statistics or econometric analysis
- Able to commit to a full-time graduate program at KAIST
02What you’ll do
The work
Empirical projects using bibliometric data, patent records, and other large-scale sources — aimed at top journals like Research Policy, Science and Public Policy, and Technological Forecasting & Social Change. Expect deep involvement in research design and the craft of writing for academic audiences.
Undergraduate co-authors have published with me in top journals. The bar is high, the runway is real.
